Color channels
If I convert my Raw files to .tiff files with 16 bits per color channel(as opposite to 8), what difference would it make for me?, for stock agencies, if any? Truly yours, \ Leonid

Your file size will be twice as large. If you are selling your work, I think you'd do well to archive your shots to CD in 16-bit. CD's are cheap. The reason is that any color or tonal correction can be done in high bit with more control, THEN the image can be changed to 8-bit. Each buyer will have to tell you what he requires for submission. For the image you initially submit to try to make a sale, you will have to go to 8-bit so that you can retouch and get the tones the way YOU want them. Just keep a high-bit archive in case the buyer wants something different.
