Nikki, broom in the corner isa wonderful still life. Very controlled elements and color work. love it! The spash of color is also fine but I am drawn to the broom.

Thank you Errick. Actually, I was drawn to this fellow as soon as I saw him for the very same reason....it could have been my father sitting in that boat. He was an avid fisherman, and we lost him 16 years ago. It really struck an emotional chord for me.

Four SFs out of eight entries for me! What a pleasant surprise! Does anyone else wish BP would revert back to the old way of viewing members' galleries! I so would love to enjoy everyone's gallery, but the way it is now, when I enter someone's gallery to view an image and enjoy their other work, I quickly feel trapped and can only escape by going back, back, back! I even feel trapped in my own gallery! It was so nice to be able to open an image and read all the comments (and add to them). As it is, when one clicks on an image, the large pop-up image degrades the visual quality, and then there's the difficulty in moving on to the next photo. So frustrating!

Hi Susan. Did you try hitting the back arrow, upper left corner. That should take you back to the complete gallery quickly.

Also, if you find yourself viewing an image that came up in a "pop up" from a gallery, there is a little white X in the upper right corner, to the right of the blue buttons for "gallery, about, contact" that will close the pop up view and return you to the gallery view...

Thanks, Errick and Christopher. The arrows do work and make things easier. I think my issue is entering someone's gallery from an image on the Home page and having to maneuver to the "Details" and comments, and repeating the exercise for every image viewed. May just be me - I liked the old galleries, seeing the badges with the images on one page (without hovering) and how effortless it was to move around in someone's gallery, enjoying their work.

I agree with you, Susan. I liked the old gallery setup better too. It seemed much easier to view and navigate to me. But that ship has sailed.

I agree 100%, Susan - I, too, get lost almost immediately, whether in someone else's or my own gallery. And I do NOT like the haphazard tile look of the pages - it's messy and not at all intuitive. Lindley is right, though. Nothing will be done about it. Jim apparently thinks it's artistic looking. Unfortunately, the result for me has been that I just no longer browse anyone's gallery.

Errick. Happy New Year! Thank you for hosting the thread this past year. Your comments and feedback have been much appreciated. A brief comment on uploading Fav's for the monthly contest. I uploaded 2 Fav's this month from my PC into the BP Forum Thread following the procedure outlined in hint no. 2. I notice that none of the badges for these images appeared as the judging took place (EP's , Silver and Gold) whereas they appeared next to other participants. Is this customary?

That is normal, Margaret. The only way to get badges to show in this thread is to use the instructions for #1. When you use #2, you are uploading a copy of the image you actually entered in the contest and . The BP judges can't see it because it's not in the contest - the original one is. The badge is on the original one, the one you entered. Does this make sense?
