Which lense to buy?
Well I have a EOS Rebel 2000 , which is my second camera and I guess like most of us im REALLY finicky about my photographs , however im wondering for people who have had experince of which of these do you prefer or like better . The 70-300 f/4-5.6 LD or Sigma's 70-300 f/4-5.6 APO , I really like the way Tamrons lense looks and I kinda got my eye on it , my gf has a sigma lense and likes it , however im not to keen on its presentation . But I wana know wat people fel abut either thrugh there experince with this type of telepoto lense. Damian

If you're finicky about your pictures, don't skimp on the glass. Fortunately, you seem not to buy off on these 24-300 one-does-it-all lenses. Good for you. The 70-300 is probably a range that, if the lens is properly designed, will give you decent resolution and minimal, if any, distortion. If you want the best, narrow the range a bit more. Canon has a 100-300 "L" lens that should be great. If you can't afford the L, get the non-L. They probably have good 70-200's, also. Tokina ATX-series lenses are highly regarded. Tamron is probably fine, if you don't settle for their cheapest line. I have no experience with Sigma. I hope you'll consider at least one top-quality prime lens. Canon's 50 f1.8II is cheap and very highly regarded.
