Description

Ladakh, India At about 13,860 feet, Pangong Lake is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world that is filled with saline water. However, even though it is a saline water lake, Pangong freezes completely during winter months.. One big attraction of this lake is its ability to change colour. The colour shades range from light green to crystal blue and sometimes even golden, red and pink. Experts believe that change in sky colour and refraction at high altitudes causes this phenomenon
