Drifting Off to Sleep

Uploaded: March 11, 2016 | Entered: March 11, 2016 19:52:01

Description

3rd in a 4 photo series of a male Gadwall duck swimming under a canopy of thick brush along the side of the pond so that he could sleep peacefully without worrying about the eagles. It was very dark under the overhang but the sunlight was reflecting off the water and lighting him up as if he were in a spotlight. In this photo the Gadwall is just starting to go to sleep. His eyes are heavy and partially closed.
