Western Photography
For several years the Triple "D" has received many requests from our customers to expand our normal agenda to include western photo sessions. During the past year we have been very fortunate to find several ranches in California and Montana, who have agreed to assist us in providing the ultimate in western photography sessions. Triple "D" is now offering these western sessions during all four seasons, in a variety of settings.

The Montana sessions are referred to as the "Horse Roundup" and the California session is called "The Day on the Ranch".

As a special request from our clients, the Triple "D" will host several western "Horse Roundup" photography sessions, providing a variety of horses along with colorful western cowboy and cowgirls, from northwest Montana.

For photographers wishing to take advantage of both wildlife and "wild horses" in just one trip, the Triple "D" has extended the February, July and August advertised specials, allowing the option to reserve a slot in the Horse Roundup sessions.

Horses running through the snow will be emphasized in February, while August we will feature dry, dusty conditions, highlighted by colorful late summer native vegetation, sunset silhouette and horse running through water. Time will be allotted for portraits of wranglers and horses.

These western sessions have been designed for photographers, giving our customers repeated opportunities to photograph these scenes.

The Details
The Horse Roundup sessions hosted High Country Trails Ranch, located in Northwest Montana will feature colorful running horses accompanied by western dressed wranglers in a variety of scenes. The settings, depending on time of year will include: running horses in snow, through water, a field with wildflowers or creating dust as they run. Other scenes will include a horse herd and riders positioned along side a small lake to provide an opportunity to capture some reflective images. At sunset, riders will be on a ridgeline to offer silhouette photography against the setting sun. During all sessions, time will be allotted for portraits of horses and wranglers. Several of these sessions are scheduled in conjunction with Triple "D" monthly specials and are optional. These Horse Roundup sessions are scheduled to allow our customers the opportunity to attend both our monthly special and the "Horse Roundup at a reduced rate.

Triple D Game Farm - Wildlife PhotographyTriple "D", owned by Jay and Kim Deist, is entering its 29th year of catering to the needs of both the amateur and professional photographer. Based out of Kalispell, Montana, Triple "D" was the first to provide wildlife models for photographers.

Recognizing the need to offer new settings and listening to the requests of their clients, they have successfully traveled from Vermont to Washington State (and points in between), to remote locations in order to take advantage of the natural beauty of varying terrain and the uniqueness of each geographic area.

Triple "D" has always guaranteed their clients a service that meets, if not exceeds, customer expectations. Their trained and well-cared for wildlife models have appeared in a variety of publications, documentaries and cinema productions.

Their staff, led by foreman Rick Meyer and assistant Kathleen O'Neil have a deep love and concern for the animals, and the bond between them will be evident during your photographing experience. Triple "D" strives to offer both portrait and action scenes, allowing you to photograph their animals safely, in professionally selected photographing areas.

What They're Saying
"You could easily spend a lifetime trying to get the kind of images (in terms of both quality and number) that you can get in one session with Triple "D". Their animals are beautiful, full of character, and well-trained. Their handlers are expert authorities on both safety and on the art of photographing wildlife. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event... I highly recommend it."
