Just take a close look at the photo examples on this page. Photographed by Lewis Kemper, they will give you a good idea of just how beautiful this place is.
The photographing sites are located 20 miles from Mariposa, CA, a gateway to Yosemite National Park.
A variety of photographing locations are available. These include:
- Rock outcroppings,
- Streams,
- Ponds and Lakes,
- Beautiful skylines,
- Hardwood forest, and
- An abundance of wildflowers.
What's more, it appears that this may be the last time Triple D will be shooting in this location. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
And while it may feel "early" to you, the April dates are the most likely to provide us lush green spring vegetation and wildflowers native to the area. This is the best time of the year to photograph in this area.
Animal handler Rick Meyer says, this California location is "one of the most beautiful places I've ever been." And he's right!
What They're Saying
"You could easily spend a lifetime trying to get the kind of images (in terms of both quality and number) that you can get in one session with Triple "D". Their animals are beautiful, full of character, and well-trained. Their handlers are expert authorites on both safety and on the art of photographing wildlife. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event... I highly recommend it."

In addition, Triple "D" is offering a rare and exciting "Day On The Ranch" photo opportunity. This will give photographers a chance to capture great images of running horses, roping, colorful cowboys and cowgirls, as well as a full-out cattle drive - with the drive being done the old way... with horses, not helicopters.
The 7L Ranch is a working ranch. Your hosts - Jim and Carlene Cunningham and Scott and Diane Crisp - have agreed to assist in planning this optional day, providing opportunities to photograph the hard-working ranch hands moving and roping cattle, along with running horses.
These sessions will be specially designed for photographers, giving guests the chance to capture these images photographically.
