Outstanding magazine for amatuer, advanced amatuer and entry level professional photographers. The magazine provides information on camera, len and flash tests. It also addresses studio lighting using the equipment that a person who creates images as a hobby might use. Black and white development is covered in detail. You name it, this magazine covers it when it comes to photography skills. The only magazines that I see as being superior are produced by professional photography associations. Those magazines cost at least two times more than what a subscription to Shutterbug magazine prescription runs.

This magazine has it all! The newest equipment, whether it be the cameras or the accesories. Great evaluations of cameras, lenses, tripods, films-you name it! Many explanations and how to do any type of photography along with explanations by experienced pros. Every issue is read cover to cover, much is learned and can be put into practice until the next monthly issue comes out. This magazine covers a lot of territory, it's a must for anyone wishing to expand their knowledge and experience in photography, from the amateur to the pro. The articles and departments offer material written so any level of experience will benefit from the content. I save every issue for going back to reference information, which happens quite often. You get a lot of 'bang fpr your buck' with this very informative magazine!
