Camera is a good begginer digital cam. I has all functionality to learn basics. Macro, and mountain view. Can also adjust light source which is really neat to play around with. The light and dark contrast is also adjustable, or you can keep it in auto. The movie quality is fair but can record for quit a bit. Overall, I am pleased with this camera
