Incredible medium format camera with fantastic lenses, takes beautiful slides! Looks like a regular 35mm SLR on steriods! Heavy to carry and cumbersome to load 120 or 220 film. The quality of the images are outstanding.

What an amazing medium format camera. It is large, heavy, and tough. One nice feature about the Pentax 6x7 is that it feels like a jumbo 35mm - it is simple to figure out and use.

I really enjoy this camera. It is a bit bulky but very easy to use. If one has had experience with 35 mm cameras, then this camera is very user friendlly. Some set backs is that it is not a digital camera so film needs to be changed rather frequently. Every 10 shots if using 120 film and every 20 shots using 220 film.

Capable of excellent image quality although often inconsistent in producing sharp images.

Good for landscapes and townscapes. I swap lenses a lot like it's a big 35mm, but with 3 or 4 lenses it's a ton. Good that the focus and aperture rings turn the same way as my Pentax 35mm kit. Good too that laymen or officials tend to mistake it for an "ordinary" (35mm SLR) camera, not a "professional" Hassel or Bronica with possible problems.Pity the back is not interchangeable, hence no digital option. Can be fiddly to load, especially to get the new full reel engaged in its spigots. It is a bit too electronic - needs the battery. But I am comparing it here with my LX - with which SLRs reached perfection!

I like making large prints from a big piece of film. Sometimes it is hard to get enough depth of field.

The Pentax 6x7 is a beauty. It pretty much looks like a 35mm camera on steroids. Picture quality is excellent. It is on the heavy side, though, and the mirror makes a noticeable amount of noise when it flips up. I've had it repaired one time by the factory. It was after warranty and it was expensive. I own a 55mm wide, 90mm normal, and 135mm portrait lens and the quality of each is excellent.

Solid as a tank. Wish I could use tilt and shift movements. Wish I could add a 22mb digital back to it. Wish I could have more time to take pictures with it, instead of being stuck in this office, UGHH! Wish I was a millionaire, yeh keep on dreaming.

Beautifully balanced medium format camera that looks and operates like a large 35mm SLR. It is a joy composing with the waist level finder.

A 35mm on steriods!!! This is a great workhorse and a great transition from 35mm to medium format. I have a wide angle, normal, macro and telephoto to cover the range. I love this camera and have had great results. I love to use the Zone system with this camera and shoot 10 exposures with one image on a roll.

No Low battery indicator.
Quite heavy to handle for long time periods. Love the two formats 120/ 220. Shutter Miror a bit loud and clanky when the miror is not locked up. Over all I am pleased with my purchase even not knowing the down side of the camera prior to my purchase.

Takes beautiful pictures, of course, but very touchy about loading. If the takeup spool is not seated perfectly, the roll may or may not advance properly. No easy way to tell when the battery is low either and can result in the shutter locking up. If I'd realized these difficulties before buying, I'd have taken the trouble to figure out how to use the removable backs on the Mamiya RZ...models or 645's.
