Incredible medium format camera with fantastic lenses, takes beautiful slides! Looks like a regular 35mm SLR on steriods! Heavy to carry and cumbersome to load 120 or 220 film. The quality of the images are outstanding.

What an amazing medium format camera. It is large, heavy, and tough. One nice feature about the Pentax 6x7 is that it feels like a jumbo 35mm - it is simple to figure out and use.

I really enjoy this camera. It is a bit bulky but very easy to use. If one has had experience with 35 mm cameras, then this camera is very user friendlly. Some set backs is that it is not a digital camera so film needs to be changed rather frequently. Every 10 shots if using 120 film and every 20 shots using 220 film.

Capable of excellent image quality although often inconsistent in producing sharp images.

Good for landscapes and townscapes. I swap lenses a lot like it's a big 35mm, but with 3 or 4 lenses it's a ton. Good that the focus and aperture rings turn the same way as my Pentax 35mm kit. Good too that laymen or officials tend to mistake it for an "ordinary" (35mm SLR) camera, not a "professional" Hassel or Bronica with possible problems.

Pity the back is not interchangeable, hence no digital option. Can be fiddly to load, especially to get the new full reel engaged in its spigots. It is a bit too electronic - needs the battery. But I am comparing it here with my LX - with which SLRs reached perfection!

I like making large prints from a big piece of film. Sometimes it is hard to get enough depth of field.

The Pentax 6x7 is a beauty. It pretty much looks like a 35mm camera on steroids. Picture quality is excellent. It is on the heavy side, though, and the mirror makes a noticeable amount of noise when it flips up. I've had it repaired one time by the factory. It was after warranty and it was expensive. I own a 55mm wide, 90mm normal, and 135mm portrait lens and the quality of each is excellent.
