My Nikon FTN has all the control and clarity of any camera I have used. It does, however, require knowledge of photographic principles of DOF and light values to be properly set. I have had this camera since new in 1969 and have found it to be ultra dependable and worry free as to taking photos around the Pacific and locally. It has never let me down.
My Mamiya m645 has been an expansion into MF and I find it satisfactory in every way. The only drawback is it takes some getting used to as to holding it, when not on tripod, properly to access the shutter release. The optics are first rate, in my view.
