After using my Fuji F-420 for six months, I decided to get another compact. I chose the G530 due to its ruggedness and the 5mp resolution...and of course the price. At half the cost of my Fuji this became the camera that lived in my glove box in my car, and went fishing out on the ocean. It was fantastic because it could get damp or get bashed about and nothing would hurt it, where I was terrified about even a nick on the F-420. The battery lasts until the 512mb card is full, good for about 200 pics. Only complaint is the pictures are a little flat, they lack the colour depth the fuji has.
