The Photo Book takes an interesting approach to widening horizons on the history of photography. 500 photographers are introduced with one representative photo and each is discussed and analyzed. Many are great, some are shocking, some are not perhaps the best work from that particular photographer. At the same time, the new approach is refreshing and a more apropo way to teach an appreciation of the past 150 years of photography - via photos instead of longwinded history lessons. And the price is right!
