In Examples: The Making of 40 Photographs, several of Ansel Adams' amazing photographs are "accompanied by an engaging narrative that explores the technical and aesthetic problems presented by the subject and includes reminiscences of the places and people involved." I can't imagine a better way to learn than to sit and listen to a legend tell you how he made his greatest masterpieces.

Ansel Adams, perhaps the best known of all photographers, had an excellent portfolio of images from his favorite area in 1927, yet he continued to photograph -- and create even more excellent images there -- for several more decades. That alone should teach us volumes!! His wit and wisdom shared in this book make it like almost being there in a master class with a legend in the industry. This book should be in every serious photographer's library!

A lot of interesting information and side stories from one of the masters of photography.
