The title is a bit misguiding. This book is not so basic at all. It tells you a lot about the approach of Adams to photography both technically and artistically. It covers colour photography, as well as b/w and the darkroom stuff that Adams is (rightfully) so famous for. Adams is also infamous for writing very complicated books, and this one makes up for it. Excelent book for the intermediate photographer.
