This is probably one of the best cameras on the market to date!! I LOVE it!! Easy to operate. Very fast!!! Love the high range of ISO. The best lens to use for it are the L series lens. Hight quality images everytime. It is almost like you can actually touch the person in the image!! A little pricey but well worth the money!! The only thing that I would change about this camera is the image viewer not very big for a camera of its size.

I upgraded from the 10D which I thought was a great camera. The Mark II is amazing and I needed the extra megapixels to be able to create some larger prints.

Fantastic Camera. Best feature is 16mp. Has two media cards that can be independently used and set or simultaneously used at different resolutions. Only dislike is the frame rate for such an expensive camera...5 fps instead of 8 fps as in the lower model.

The Sony F828 is a great camera for my skill level [medium] I guess. The camera is solid and handles well with all of the controls within reach no lengthy menus to go through everything has an easy to reach button. It sounds like an SLR when photos are taken I would of liked a bit more zoom than the 7 times optical as I like to photograph birds. I do have the 2x zoom lens but it produces edge blurring which really is a plus with my Art in Nature type of photography.

I love the 8.5 fpm.
Wish there was a larger LCD screen.
It appears fairly easy to use and understand.
When I first got the camera I used P and got pretty good pictures.

I just purchased this (used) camera, so I really don't have a lot of information right now. But, from everything I have read and seen so far, it is supposed to be excellent. Be forewarned, however, that it weighs a ton.

I am so impressed with the quality of print and screen shots I get with the new Canon I can't believe. Now we did pay a huge price but it is worth it. I work for a university and they paid but I had to take a huge cut in budget to get it. it will pay for its self in a year. I also am now working with a new Mac G5 quad procesor comp with duel 23inch HD Cenema Screens. I am in heaven. Thank you School. for a mear 20k you can have the set up I have too. lol

I love the quality of the images and the great zoom ability. I also love the automatic settings for various occasions, especially the "sport" setting. I wish there was less delay between the time I took the picture and it actually snapped the shot.

This is my third Canon camera and by far the best. The images it produces are by far the cleanest even at some high ISO's like 800.One month after recieving the camera it is back to Canon for repair because the control wheel in the rear stopped functioning and made the camera unuseable. Dust on the sensor is a problem with this camera more so than any of my other caneras. Canon's recomendation of blowing off the dust with a bulb type blower is unacceptable. Sometimes it blows MORE dust on the sensor. I recommend the Copperhill cleaning method and no other. I have tried them all and spent big bucks finding out what works best.

The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II is an expensive camera, "but darn well worth it". This camera takes excellent photographs of the highest quality and there is virtually no post-processing required. For example, I have yet to find a photo that I have improved using Photoshop's Unsharp Mask. I mostly shoot nature and wildlife photos, and the close-up crops are awesome. I love this camera!

I recently bought the Canon 1Ds Mark II SLR Digital camera, I really enjoy using the camera. There is a lot to learn, but once I started shooting with it, it really comes easy. I mainly use the camera for Wedding photography, still life, and portrait. Another thing I like about this camera is the higher resolution. 16.61 MP wow! If you should happen to take a picture not so perfect but you like something in the background, I can crop it out and I don't have to worry about the picture losing major quality or resolution. It's amazing how this camera captures images. It's a must have for the professional photographer!

An incredible piece of engineering with image excellence that tests even the best of Canons lenses. I don’t understand the use of the slower 1.1 USB as opposed to the faster 2.0 but there is of course firewire. I would like to have seen a simple mirror lock up button, like the DOF preview button, instead of a menu driven function.
Works extremely well with the new algorithms of the Canon Speedlite 580ex E-TTL II but I would not say that the E-TTL II is better than the original 580 primarily due to the fact that I have yet to encounter that many different exposure situations.

I have not spent too much time with this one yet. Enough to note that the detail is amazing. I really like the bigger sensor, no more 1.6 conversion to the lenses. The controls are a little confusing and the light meter is on the right thru the lens instead of on the bottom. Strange, but not really important. Significantly heavier than the 10D or 20D but then this is not the camera you would want to take on vacation. Not so heavy you can't move around freely. All in all, I love it so far.

I have owned 4 of Canon's digital SLR. I started with the D-30, then the D-60 and then the 10D. I now have an EOS-1D Mark II. I rate this version of Canon's SLRs very high. It is better than I expected. It feels like a film camera. The shutter and focus are crisp. It is built like a tank. Very solid. The 8+ frames a second is unbelievable. The new battery usually lasts all day. I think Canon claims up to 2000 shots on a charge. I am still learning the advanced buttons. I have taken approximately 3900
exposures so far and have not had a hint of trouble. Knock on wood. Not an inexpensive ($5000) camera, but worth every penny as far as I am concerned
