Having shot most all major brands of print and slide film available, I believe that this is by far one of the best consumer print films out there. When I started shooting I was convinced that optimum image quality was produced only with a very expensive, refrigerated film. I was wrong. I have used this film in the studio as well as for scenics, wildlife, etc. and have recieved nothing but superior results. The 100 speed version of this film, now hard to find and overpriced if you do come across it, really didn't show any significant improvements in grain structure. I recommend picking up a box of 5, which can be found in some grocery stores and most always in a semi-pro camera shop. Buy it and shoot away. It scans extremely well and can be overly saturated in photoshop without the shadows and highlights becoming a mess. The difference in this film from the lesser kodak films just below it are extreme. If a lesser ISO is prefered, try to move into the Kodak Elite Chrome 100 emulsion. This is a slide film, so find a good lab. This film seems to be slide film equivilant to the royal gold 200. A great film for general applications. Dont shoot the highly priced cold films unless necessary when most applications dont call for it. Give it a try.
