Very nice point & shoot camera especially for price on Ebay. The macro is awesome and I won 3 1st places in a reptiles photo contest with it. I have since got a Nikon D80 but I carry the 8700 as a back up.

It's a very good camera, and produces great photos, I just prefer an SLR and a wider choice of a lense.

It was my last non-SLR purchase and has a ton of features that allow you to control your photos in almost any mode you wish or shoot on AUTO! Built in 8X optical Zoom is very nice.

Very nice point and shoot. My first nice camera. This is the camera that got me interested in photography. Made taking nice pictures easy.

So compact it slips into a purse. Trying to use as professional camera. Like the lens. Too many options. Response time is very slow, especially in RAW or TIFF—frustrating. I need something faster. Color and quality great, although there is little too much noise even with RAW setting.

This camera is easy to use, even for beginners. It is also easy to change from automatic to manual as the user becomes more familiar with photography.

Takes wonderfull photos. I am just now starting to work with different aperatures and speed settings. I hated to see it is dis-continued.
