Large, fairly heavy and sturdy 8 x 10 camera. There were two models - the green model is magnesium and weighs about 13 1/2 lbs and the black is aluminum and is about 16 lbs.

The C-1, aka "The Green Monster" is a wonderful instrument. 34" of bellows draw and light weight coupled with rigid construction and positive locks makes this camera a pleasure to use. I have the 8X10, 5X7, and 4X5 backs with my rig. The only drawbacks - no rise/fall on the rear standard and the 4X5 reduction back is a spring back (with bail), so Graflok accessories (such as roll film holders) can't be used. Calumet does make a nice rollfilm holder that works on all of their 4X5 cameras, so it isn't THAT big of an issue.

Great war horse of an 8x10. Virtually indestructable, very heavy with lots of movements. A very inexpensive ($200-500 used off ebay) field camera for those with strong backs.
