The Camedia C-960 Zoom Digital Camera

Marketed to the real estate agents, this little camera features a 28mm lens, an LCD monitor, and a 1.3 MP CCD.

From the manufacturer:
"...the ultra-compact C-960 Zoom digital camera, at only 9.5 ounces, is great to take with you when you're on the go. And while you're out of the office, you'll have no problem recording sharp images thanks to the camera's 1.3-megapixel resolution CCD and 3X optical/2x telephoto zoom lens. The accompanying 28mm wide angle lens will prove its angle of performance, allowing you to easily capture an entire estate and then some. The C-960 also lets you immediately view your photos on its 1.8-inch LCD for instant gratification and is designed so you can see them from any angle and in bright light, especially important on sunny days when glare can be a problem. Your images can then be printed directly from the camera or downloaded to a computer for later use such as to email to clients or to display on your company's web page.

Very robust with decent ergonometrics Excellent resolution and excellent lens quality except for excessive barrel distortion at the widest range of the 28mm-140mm equivalent focal length. Distotion is not noticeable for lanscapes, but it is for architecture, and inside buildings.

great len but auto focusing is slow to the point of being annoying. Excellent with flash at very close range. Auto illumination is a feature that has been exceptionally helpful in my industrial photography settings where low light levels make focus difficult. Very intuitive controls and easy to take great pictures. Generally love it except for the slow auto focus.

It fits the hand well, and that's about all to say on the good side of this camera. I particularly dislike having to turn the camera off to review pictures and then back on to shoot again. This is one of the most inefficient and frustrating aspects of this camera. The fact that I got it free helped to make it seem better for a while.

good camera. But it's old... only 1.3 Mpixel. But to show pics on the monitor still kicks the ass.

The C-960 is a wonderful digital camera at a great price. It performs as far as photo quality like a high priced camera. The photos are crisp and clear and there are many options to choose from and set on the camera. The flash power is amazing and the photo quality always pleases me. It is also a pretty rugged camera and designed to fit nicely/comfortably in your hand. The batteries last quite awhile and it's easy to change smart media cards and learn the camera. I would recommend this cmera to anyone. The only problem I have had is indoors using the auto white balance, but you can set that yourself or use software to correct it.
