I really can't believe this printer got rated so high. I have had it for two days and I am so disgusted! Maybe I just got a bad one but the quality is horrible.

This is a great printer for detailed colorful large format (13 x 19) prints. The colors are brillant; however, it is the worst for fading. I have compared HP, Epson, and Canon and Epson is the worst for fading. If the print is under glass or a sheet protector then it is okay. But let's say you are just printing 4x6 family photos and don't cover each and every one, they will fade terribly within a few months.

Fabulous large format professional quality ink jet printer...up to 13x19 borderless printing. Excellent for photographs (6 colors) and also for line drawings proofs before printing out on C-E size CAD printers.Only reason for 9 and not 10 is because of lack of independent color cartridges instead on a single multi-color cartridge. Otherwise, typically excellent Epson photographic quality inkjet printer, recommended for both serious home use as well as professional office applications.

I am surprised to see that this printer has not been reviewed yet! A great tool for any digital darkroom photographer, the Epson 1280 offers large format printing, borderless options on some paper types, and even a panoramic option. It is super quiet, compared to my old Epson Stylus 600 (that thing will wake up the baby!)If you are looking into printers, seriously consider this model or one of Epson's archival printers.
