I must have a great copy of this lens. It is very sharp throughout the whole range but its sweet spot is definitely at f/8. The macro function is great for a walk around "vacation lens." I would heartily recommend this lens if you shoot manual and know don't rely on the auto function very often.

The 24-85 ED f2.8-4. I was not impressed with this lens in any way. This lens produces extremely soft images on the short end. In my opinion skip this lens.
