It is one of the best P & S Cameras Ive ever used. I use mostly digital now but keep it at our vacation home for shooting there. It produces great results on auto settings which is important while vacationing ( for quick unexpected shooting ops) and I purchased it just for that purpose.

As far as focus is concerned, you don't need to worry about how your picture is going to turn out. I have experienced little or no blur when snapping pictures of my daughter. With all 3 year olds, they tend to get jittery, but the 230 captures awesome shots no matter what. This camera packs a punch. The colors come out very nicely and the details are very fine.

My girlfriend and I lost this camera a year ago. We contemplated on buying a digital but when it came down to it, we couldn't resist buying a new one.

Viva la 230!

I love everything about this camera. It's old as anything but works fantastically! Whether it be freezing, boiling, raining or whatever, this camera is easy to use, easy to handle, works great in low lights (cathedral interiors in particular) and can be banged around without breaking every five seconds (i've dropped the thing on numerous occasions and it only makes the pictures better). Since I know nothing about cameras, this is the best I could ask for!
