The Schneider lens makes Samsung the sharpest affordable P&S film compact camera. The Minolta & Pentax P&S's are close & I am still evaluating. Also Samsung's image is better than 5mp digital cameras. The S is bigger & heavier(3.5 ounces) than small models of M & P...not much but small shirt pockets handle M & P, & S really drags on your shirt. As with most P&S's, Samsung has auto exposure, focus, feed, advance, & rewind as well as the many flash, red eye, slow shutter, bulb, self timer, day, date & remote features. Unique features of the Samsung is SNAP which sets the lens to 38mm & auto focuses so every thing between 5 & 20 feet is sharp when you first turn the camera on...good for pets, children, & any action swirling around you. Also Portrait allows auto zooming while pixing so a subject stays the same image size tho the subject may move around! Grace & peace to all readers...litesong
