As a snapshot photographer, I've been pretty satisfied with this camera. This is the first digital that I've owned and I know there are better models on the market today but I've taken some nice family/vacation pictures with it. I need to upgrade my memory stick so I don't have to download so often. I get about 41 pic's on 1.2 pixels. When I zoom and trim existing photos, I get bad blur 50% of the time. Wish it had a more powerful zoom. And it does "hesitate" prior to shooting which can be frustrating with subjects that won't hold still (like my dogs). All in all it's been great for this beginner and I don't intend to upgrade any time soon.

A great little camera, 5.0 Megapixles. the best feature of this camera is the compact size and the amount of photos that can be stored on a 512 Meg chip. The worst feature is that it only has a 3X optical zoom.

Pros: Quality of pictures are great, features are adequate, easy to use.
Cons: Takes too long to take picture for action shots, doesn't take good pictures at night.

I used to love this camera until it recently broke, the motor on the lense gave out after only two years of use. It had decent resolution and clarity but the zoom was something to be desired. It was a good starter camera but now I am hoping to upgrade and get one that will help increase my photographic abilities.

Used to adore this as my wife and I were just starting out but now very dissapointed to see that after only two years of use, the motor on the lense broke, and of course, after warranty ran out. Was a good starter camera and got good use but glad to be shopping for a new one soon! Looking for better zoom and resolution.

I love my camera, but a couple problems I've found are the time in between taking picturescwith a flash can be frustrating. And the focus acts up sometimes but that could just be cuz it needs a tune up.

I love digital cameras cause you can review what you've tken right away. The best thing is that you can erase the photos that you don't like and you don't have to wait till you've developed them to see the mistakes or the closed eyes, especially when you're taking photos of babies who do not understand to stand still and look at the camera.

I love my Sony Cybershot digital camera. It is very easy to use, and the quality of the pictures are terrific. I only wish I could have the same clear quality if I were to enlarge my photographs larger than 8 X 10. Unfortunately, this does not work.

This camera takes wonderful stills, but anything else and you may be out of luck. It has given me some great landscapes and a few wildlife shots, but if you have a shakey hand, the image becomes blurred.

The camera is great. It's small and therefore always on hand for the shots that would otherwie get away. It has limited control features but that's the trade off. At the time of purchase it was perfect. FOr the size there are now much smaller and feature laden cameras with higher pixel count. THere are still tricks in there though if you utilise every feature it has. Great pictures aren't taken by great cameras they're taken by great photographers.

I like it for quick use on family and pets. I have been the NikonF...NikonF2...etc...route and I find this to be more convenient...lest cumbersome and easiest to use getting good photo's

I have been using this camera for around 3 weeks now, and I have to say that I am thrilled with it.The picture quality is fantastic, its easy to use, its light and the buttons are well laid out. I have just got used to the different settings, and feel that I have plenty of options when it comes to shooting (although for some reason B&W shooting is not available on the model) The only real complaint I have with my purchase is that the manual isn't much good, leaving it up to you to experiment a fair bit when it comes to trying different photo's (night time etc.). THe only gripe I have with the camera itself is that you have no way of manually setting exposure times, but given that this is not a SLR I think that this can be forgiven. If you are after a camera thats easy as pie to use, whith bags of settings to play with and AMAZING picture quality for a reasonable price, this is the camera for you

I love the quality of the images that the camera produces.
Lightweight, small and hardy. All of the buttons are easily accessable.
3 times optical zoom, which is neither bad nor good.
I still don't understand all of the functions.
Unfortunatly I was quite swept away with the 5 Megapixels, which is really too much and has almost become a burden.
