The innovative folks at Nikon have truly broken new ground with the introduction of the world's finest digital SLR! Major improvements over its full-frame predecessor, the D-700, include greater resolution and more light-gathering pixels than any other DSLR on the market today. Folks familiar with Nikon technology and workmanship will instantly appreciate the D-800’s straightforward design and ease of use. Ergonomically positioned controls and dials allow the photographer to fine-tune this precision instrument to fit his or her specific needs and abilities. I pre-ordered my D-800 back in early February 2012, a few days after the official release date, and finally received shipment in late July! The backlog of orders was overwhelming the major supply houses as they sent out D-800 shipments on a first come, first served basis. Sure, it was frustrating…but well worth the wait!
