I just want to thank Jim Miotke for writing two great books. I recently bought "Better Photo Guide to Digital Photography" & the "Nature" one as well. I bought a Canon Powershot S3 last November and have been somewhat frustrated with all the possiblities it holds. By reading Jim's books I have had so much fun trying different techniques and it all makes sense now. Great books! Look forward to more.

Hi Jim,

I just finished reading your book "The BetterPhoto Guide
to Digital Nature Photography". What a GREAT book! I took quite a few notes which I now carry with me in my DayRunner. I am also taking one of your 4-week courses. You are doing a great job in helping the photo community.

Jim,
Your latest book is a good read--I read it from cover to cover when it arrived! It contains very down to earth advice that can be used by those new to photography (both digital and film) and some sound advice for us that have a few years on us. The flow seemed very well thought out and you kept it moving (no slow spots). My new guide lines will be your LCD approach :0) Well done!!
