Out of the box the printer created the best matched prints to my calibrated monitor that I have seen. I upgraded after using a 2200 for years, and the difference is very noticable, especially on glossy or luster papers. Inks appear to be integrated with the paper much better than the 2200. I haven't seen prints from the 2400 or other Epsons, so I can't say if there is improvement there.

It is the fastest Epson I've worked with.

Auto-switching between matte and photo black is wonderful and it doesn't appear to use much ink in the process.

I've printed on a variety of papers and haven't had a single issue with paper feeding using the autofeeder or rear manual feeder.

It has a very small footprint, not even twice the area of my 2200.

So far, it is definitely worth the price.
