For a beginner class this was excellent. I have had Photoshop for many years but not the opportunity to learn it. The short course was perfect for my time and scheduling and the instructor was concise and always available for questions. I do need to use image editing on the job and this has already made a difference in how I set up and handle the images. I look forward to continuing courses at Betterphoto.com

Before I 'walked' into this class I was not a fan of photoshop. I had no clue how to use it nor could I see it's benefits to a beginner photographer. However, this class gave me the bug for photoshop. The lessons were informative, the activities challenging (but not too challenging where you end up lost) and Richard was an excellent teacher. He answered every question quickly and with good information. I hope to be able to take another class with him in the future.

When I signed up for photoshop 101, I was afraid that it might be frustrating for me. I was a complete beginner, but I wanted to have the ability to improve my photos. I can honestly say Richard made the class enjoyable and easy to follow (even for someone like me with no photoshop experience). After completing this class I now have the confidence to quickly improve my pictures and understand many of the basic tools. I'm looking forward to the next course - it has opened up a new side of photography for me.

Richard: Great course even for beginners. One point-lesson 3-step 11---doing the fill on mask w/paint bucket did not work. Also in lesson 4 the location of 'RESAMPLE"was not given.had to hunt for it. Overall, course is ecellent and just what I needed.

What an amazing class! Especially helpful was the "tool belt" and the suggestion to spend time each day on a tool you do not know. I really liked Richard's teaching style-very thorough but realistic also. My only regret is that I did not take the class sooner!

Photoshop 101 was a great introductory course. Before this class I had no clue on how to do anything and now I'm confident and able to adjust my pictures in many ways. I highly recommend this course to anyone who has just bought Photoshop or Elements as Richard has provided instructions for both programs.

The best ever...when I started this class, I told Richard that I knew enough about photoshop to be dangerous, I now know enogh to do some unique things with my shots...I'm so glad that I not only took the class, but finished it as well...

Talk about taking a class that takes you from 0-10 in just one lesson. I was clueless about Elements before this course, but Richards clear instruction, and support has enabled me to understand Elements and produce amazing images. Thanks for everything Richard.

I purchased and installed Photoshop just a few weeks before taking this course. When I started this course, I didn't even know where to begin. Thanks to this class and Richard's clear tutorials and critques, I now have a good grasp of the fundamentals of using this program. I am far from an expert but now I'm able to read books and take more advanced courses at BetterPhoto. If you have Photoshop and don't now what to do with it and your photos, then I highly recommend this course.

I was a complete novice with Photoshop. I preferred the ease of iPhoto and never planned to open the copy of Photoshop Elements I had on my hard drive. However, I signed up after being convinced that Photoshop was a skill I would need if I ever took my photography to the next level. Richard Lynch has developed the perfect class for people just like me. He starts slow and makes sure everyone is on the same page, instructs the class on a few tools that will do 99% of the jobs and then provides assignments that allowed me to gain an enormous amount of confidence with Photoshop. I am now enjoying experimenting with Photoshop and expect it to be an important tool as my photography business takes off.Todd

I found this course very helpful. I have used Photoshop Elements since its beginning and upgraded to Photoshop CS2. I know now that I really didn't know what I was doing, but now I have been given the basics to continue with better editing of my photos.I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is starting out or is struggling to learn Photoshop

I felt that the course was constructed in a way that beginner or intermediate students could learn something. The lessons are well thought out and communicated in an easy to understand manner. I like that Richard asks you to go step by step with the lesson. I think that really helps the lesson sink in. I would recommend this course, especially for the beginner that needs a solid start.

This was a great intro course, that got me trying things and seeing a difference in the quality of my pics in just four short weeks!!
The only snag I encountered is the inability to get the extras (hidden elements) working on Vista.
I would highly recommend this course.

Thank you Richard. Out of all the course I have taken I feel that I have gotten the most out of this one as far as learning to understand better what the tools do versus just using them and seeing the result w/o understanding. I also feel that it has validated some of the things I was doing and took some of my other things up a notch. I defiantly agree on the minor adjustments you have referenced and will give this image some more fine-tuning. Thanks again for all your help, advice and support.

I have watched video's and taken a 6 hour class on CS2 and retained almost "NOTHING" sad to say. Richard's hands on and excellent examples let me by the 4th week get in and change a photo by myself and actually know and understand what I was doing by myself. I was very impressed with his timely responses and suggestions to our questions. GREAT TEACHER!

This is fantastic course for any photographer that wants to develop a baseline worflow that can be expanded upon with even more knowledge of Photoshop. Richard provides wonderfully detailed lessons and push you to explore and investigate whichever Photoshop is your weapon of choice! If you have be dabbling in Photoshop and want to get serious about how to improve your images from the ground up this is the course for you.

Wow. This course was fabulous! I was looking for a challenge and found it. The harder things are, for me, the more I retain. I am not giving this a 5, because I wish it was 8 weeks long! Other than that, I think Richard's train of thought, his vast expertise, his infinite patience and his sharp intelligence make him a great teacher. I had a hard time keeping up with him, but that only made me pull myself up farther, closer to my best. I look forward to experimenting with this information and hopefully taking another of his classes soon! Thanks, Richard!

The goal of this course was: "This course will get you up and running in Photoshop or Elements". I used this course with Elements. Richard was very helpful in answering questions as quickly as they were asked. He took the time to critique and help me improve through the assignments. Although he is very knowledgable, he could get it to my level. Thank you Richard.

This is the ideal course to start with the "Photoshop". It is absolutely necessary for anyone dealing with digital photography. I had a really good time. Richard Lynch is a very good helpful and understanding instructor. I strongly recommend this course!
