This camera is exceptionally easy to use with good results. The LCD display very accurately represents both the camera's field of view, and the photo which results when the shutter is pressed. It is light in weight, yet the same size and general feel as the Nikon FM I have used for years. Shutter action is excellent, and this is more important that you might think. What it means is that with this camera, the camera fires when you want it to, not a second afterward, so that you capture the moment you want; also, it does not fire the instant you touch the shutter, and yet the vertical travel on the shutter is not so great that the camera tilts slightly when you depress the shutter. Many film cameras have this fault; too long a vertical travel on the shutter. The LCD screen is very bright, and the popopen "barn doors" which cover it are much like the doors that cover and protect the pentaprisms on medium format cameras like Mamiya, Hasselblad and Bronica, which I have used extensively. Image detail level is easily adjusted and I can get a high quality enlargement with the TIFF setting. Control of the camera settings is very close to what is available with Nikon FM or any other fully manual camera, and I prefer this control level. At the same time, it does a great job of grabbing an accurate shot on any of the automatic settings, getting the focus and the exposure right 95% of the time, which is pretty amazing. The battery is this camera's weakest link in quality. I am used to taking the camera out and literally shooting all day with it, which is not possible with this camera due to its battery holding insufficient charge. I have got around that by buying a second battery and keeping a blank CD-RW, recharger, and USB-to-camera transfer cable in ziplock bags inside the camera bag. The bag which the camera comes with is crap. You cannot even insert the camera back into the bag if the LCD screen's protective door is attached, which is how I use the camera 100% of the time. It took me more than a year to find a bag that was suitable (Lowepro EX160). "Suitable" includes having a top loading bag with a zipper NOT facing straight up into the rain. Lowepro please notice. This was the only Lowepro bag I have seen in Toronto that had the zipper an inch below the top surface of the bag, running at 90 degrees to the surface, so that in the event of a downpour, water cannot run straight into the bag through the spaces between the teeth in the zipper. Lowest resolution is great for thumbnails on web etc. Also, I have never used a camera that was so good in low light situations. With this camera,I have grabbed shots of passengers being pulled in rickshaws long after sunset. That means using the lens at 100mm focal length equivalent on 35mm, for a subject 50' away, that is moving at 4 mph at 60 degrees to the camera - and almost in the dark. This camera takes the steadiest photos I've ever taken, and I've shot tens of thousands of frames. Only improvement I would like, is a higher resolution for giant prints and a much longer lasting battery. Camera is very reliable.

What i like about my camera, it the location of the controls, easy to see ,to reach and to use, the two things that i like most is the quality of the lens, and the large lcd. What i hate about the camera, is the fact that when you are using the Tele or the wide angle conversion lens, they are too big at the top, so they block your vision, when looking through the view finder, leaving u no choice than to use the lcd screen for viewing, so u cannot use the manual focusing on the camera. Another disadvantage is that u cannot use any attachements on the front os the conversion lens, like filters.

I have been using this camera for about a year. Features are great, but picture quality is average in low light situations, despite a superior Leica lens. For general purpose it's a very nice camera. I think 7/10 reflects its overall quality well.

Slightly upscale digital camera, but to be honest, does not render the quality i expcted from it. Great in normal lighting condition, but in low light, the pictures are sub standard. Great and very complete features though and many options.
