The Camedia C-2500L Digital Camera

2.5 megapixel, 1712 x 1368, 3x optical zoom...

Designed with the professional and advanced amateur in mind, the fully-featured and versatile C-2500L SLR uses an exclusive 2/3-inch CCD and new TruePic™ Technology process to capture pixel information with improved accuracy. Combined with an impressive 2.5 million pixel CCD with a resolution of 1712 x 1368, the C-2500L produces perhaps the sharpest digital images ever—delivering the more accurate color, gradation and contrast of a true photograph.

The advanced C-2500L SLR also packs a number of impressive features, like a choice of fully automatic or fully manual exposure, white balance and focus, a versatile pop-up 5-mode flash, a powerful 3x Olympus optical zoom (the equivalent of a 36-110mm zoom on a 35mm film camera), and an SLR viewfinder that offers a 95%-centered view. Built for speed, the C-2500L SLR can also shoot as fast as composition and focusing are done; there's no waiting in-between shots...

The camera does take awesome pictures, but I have shaky hands so a lot of times they come our blury if I'm not careful. I also don't like the fact that there isnt an option on my camera to change the mode to black and white.

Excellent camera. Rugged ( I have dropped it many times)& feature rich. The ability to hold both Compact Flash & Smart Media cards, at the same time is a plus.

This camera sucks, you have to go through a menu to change anything, the zoom is controlled by a switch, and it is very slow. Also a slow speed to take pictures and store the image, also has a junk zoom.

A very good digital camera for the price nowadays due to it's age and lack of megapixels. Actual capture when focused and final press of the shutter release button is minimal ; even compared with higher priced digital models. Color rendition is good; but manual white balance setting is often better than the auto. Good manual adjustable settings, but time consuming to remember how to navigate fast. Has been a great camera for me for many years, but will go to Canon Eos Mark II when I upgrade. Mainly due to existing lenses and accessories I already have for my 35mm EOS 1V-HS. Also not sure if Olympus's will be around as long as Canon.

Great camera, considering the age (2001) and only 2,5 MPixel.

It's been a great camera, but is a big outdated. I now feel that I need better DPI and more SLR digital options.

This camera took very good photos, it was very easy to setup and use. The only reason to change cameras was to get a newer model with higher pixels.

It's light weight and easy to handle. I love the SLR, but I wish there was a meter display in the view. Manual settings are time consuming and some what trial and error with changing lighting. Mounting filters and additional lenses is also difficult. You have to line up screw threads which don't always want to cooperate.
