This course was exactly what I needed to overcome my "fear of flash" and to finally learn how to properly take flash photographs. The class was the best gift my wife ever gave me because now I can use flash to capture those moments I used to miss, or mis-shoot. I feel very empowered. The instruction was very well organized, and stepped the class through the process of learning about external flash units. We learned how and when to use flash in many different methods. I cannot believe how much better all of my photos are because of this course and Paul's instruction. Besides being an inspiration to any photgrapher, Paul was great in helping, encouraging, and critiquing. The on-line aspect perfectly fit my schedule limitations. I highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to improve their photography!

This was a very helpful class for me. I have always been intimidated by my flash unit and did not have a clear understanding. This course has given me a great jumping off point and improved comfort level with managing my flash better and improving my images. Great course.

I can't say enough about Paul Gero's ability to instruct. His carefully structured lessons and information pull you in and get you comfortable with some very challenging photographic techniques. And he listened and encouraged me through all my overwhelemed feelings. His wedding course for 8 weeks took me into the "major leagues" with my event work and when I took this "stobe" class, he let me join even though I was working with Nikon equipment. He went the extra mile to get me the answers I needed with my SB800. THANK YOU, PAUL.
I am a much more confident and successful photographer today, after my year of Better Photo courses and particularly my time with Paul.

This was a great learning class. Paul Gero has so much experience as a photojournalist and wedding photographer. Paul is a great teacher and I feel like I really learned some great flash techniques. If you want to become better at flash photography using your Canon equipment this is a must class.

Paul's lessons and critiques were very, very good. This course really helped me learn the basics of using my strobe unit. What I really liked, however, were the creative ideas Paul taught as well as the nuances of using flash in various settings, bouncing flash, etc. Unless you're a pro, most of your best shots will be of family & friends (indoors/outdoors)- and most will benefit from some kind of flash exposure. Highly recommended.

Paul is an EXCELLENT teacher!!!! This is my 5th BP course, and I was amazed at all the time and attention he gave to every one of our questions and photographs! His photography is also excellent, and his knowledge is vast across the board. His critiques are honest but alwasy encouraging. I HIGHLY reccomend any of Paul's courses!

Paul's class was not only informative, but I found him to be a very giving teacher. His responses to questions were timely and he wanted to make sure you "got it".
There is precious little understandable information out there on the use of the Canon strobe -- that's why this class was so valuable.Thanks, Paul!

Great course! Paul has reinvented the wheel as far as photography with flash is concerned. Finally I have the confidence to use my flash and know that I will be getting a great, natural looking image. Paul is very generous with his time and advice - this is one course that I will always be thankful that I took!

Paul has it all going for him he's an incredible photographer,mentor and teacher; You will learn so many valuable techniques in such a short time were you would spend years learning on your own.
