The New Mamiya 6 (not to be confused with the folding version) is one of the finest medium format cameras no longer in production. The 6 has a lens mount that compresses into the body when not it use and makes for one slim package. The rangefinder is bright and easy to focus and the lenses are simply wonderful. The controls are well laid out and I find that I shoot more with this camera than any other simply because it's so easy to use and carry. It provides 6x6 negatives in a camera that handles like a 35mm.

I love the Mamiya 6. It's a lightweight, incredibly sharp medium format camera. A rangefinder by design, the interchangable lens system is rather small, with three lenses (50mm wide angle, 75mm normal, 120mm telephoto). The shutter is extremely quiet, and since the camera uses lens-based leaf shutters, they are very steady and get razor sharp shots. It shoots both 120 and 220 film merely by rotating the pressure plate.
