Actually, this camera blew me away. I borrowed it, so I don't own it, but I used it handheld and took a few pictures in my neighborhood. You can only stand 3ft. min from a subject, although somehow that doesn't seem to matter with the incredible lens. If you've never used a rangefinder before, it takes some getting used to, but I didn't see a problem in the least with my pictures. I was lucky enough to catch a butterfly taking a short lunch break on a flower- it took up such a small tiny part of the frame. I decided to make an 8x10 anyway, just to see, I had the enlarger practically flying through the ceiling it was so high- you would've thought I used a micro lens. It's fabulous.Besides that it has a shutter release in the front as well, that includes a lock. And the lens has a built in hood. It's incredibly lightweight- although rather big- and incredibly sturdy as well. So why an 8? Fuji, I believe, is playing some strange sort of joke. They put this incredible lens on the camera that is so sharp it blew my mind. So I decided to shoot a meteor shower and the surrounding landscape. And learned the only way to stop a timed exposure is to wind the film forward. ?!!!?!?????????? So much for my cable release and tripod.
