Yeah, I got dozens of good photos but I only posted the ones that were particularly interesting due to a pose or expression.

Response 2:Thanks, Donna and Joan. There's a fun story here and being photographers you'll get it. The cane and hat came from a thrift shot, less than 5 bucks. The gloves and suspenders were one's I had kicking around.
It's the "skirt" that makes me laugh. She didn't have a skirt with her so she used a black SHIRT wrapped around her like a towel. I would have given up on the shot but nope, not her. I said, "good thinking Brit" and she replied, "it comes from years of dressing barbie dolls", LOL.
So there you have it, our 5 dollar Jazz Shoot, lol.

For an abstract/macro image, this is still very soft, warm, and gently lit ... beautiful, John!

Response 1:Thanks, Christine!
There is much to be said for softness in a micro image. I am often taking pictures of subjects that give no sense of what they are. Some sharp lines provide a structure to the image, which I like. In this case I think most people can tell the subject is a feather. And there are strong lines. However the softness makes the image function in a more abstract way. Thanks, John Siskin

I moved the camera up and down to get this effect. I added saturation and sharpness in CS3.
