BetterWorkshop: Late February 2006 Snow Shoot | ||||||||||||||||||||
Online/On-Location Photography Learning!
Before the Workshop
The first rule of photographing wildlife is to be prepared. After all, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity - you want to make sure you are ready before you get to the shoot. Along these lines, you will receive lessons and articles on the topics before we arrive. But we don't want to stop there... to make sure both you and your equipment are ready, we will have one optional practice assignment. You will be given a task to shoot before the trip. Then, after you complete this pre-workshop assignment, you will upload the results for review by the instructor.

World-Class Instructors
Just imagine how much trying to photograph such animals in the wild would cost you - both in terms of time and money. Then consider the incredible learning value of getting lessons beforehand and then having your work critiqued after the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for any photographer interested in photographing wildlife.

About the Instructor
Jim got his hands on his first 35mm SLR camera - a Pentax ME Super - in 1984 and started shooting professionally in 1994. He has been running the BetterPhoto Web site since early 1996 as a guide for budding photographers around the globe. BetterPhoto.com features tips to improve photographic technique, book reviews, a useful Q&A forum, email newsletters, workshops, and help with all aspects of beginning traditional and digital photography. The site has been honored to receive awards and recognition from such prestigious publications as CNN Headline News and U.S. News and World Report, among many others. To learn more about the site, visit our About page. Before developing BetterPhoto.com, Jim ran a photography business in California and Washington that specialized in weddings and portraiture. He now primarily shoots stock photography (and several of his images can be found on the Adobe Photoshop 6 and 7 CD-ROMs). His articles on photography have been featured in magazines, newspapers, and online sites. If you would like to get a Web page of your own - one that showcases your best images and gives people an easy way to contact you - visit the "Web Sites for Photographers" page to learn more about getting your own Member Gallery or Deluxe Web Site.
