Combo Workshop: Photograph Spectacular Scenery in Oregon | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Join guest instructor Charlie Borland - a BetterPhoto instructor and Director of Photography at fogstock.com photo agency - and Steens Mountain Packers for an exciting week of photography at Oregon's Steens Mountain.
Open to both digital and film photographers, this combination on-location and online workshop is a unique opportunity to explore and photograph the fantastic Southeastern Oregon scenery with a top photographer and instructor! And, with glacial cut valleys, aspen filled gorges, wildflower laden meadows, and great desert views, Steens Mountain offers the landscape photographer a vast array of photo subjects.
This workshop will emphasize landscape photography. By combining this beautiful location with excellent instruction, we'll help you come away with the kind of images you seek.
Combination Online and On-Location Experience This workshop is like a mini-course on photography. Before we meet in Oregon, you will be supplied with plenty of information in order to prepare yourself for the shoot. Then, during the shoot, you will learn more and, of course, have plenty of opportunities to put your photography lessons into practice. Finally, after the workshop, you will be able to upload your favorite results from the trip for critique by the instructor.
Before the Workshop
Along these lines, you will receive lessons and articles on the topics before arrival. But we don't want to stop there... to make sure both you are your equipment are ready, we will have one optional practice assignment. You will be given a task to shoot before the trip. Then, after you complete this pre-workshop assignment, you will upload the results for review by the instructor.
After the Workshop
There the instructor and other participants of the workshop will be able to review and critique your photos created in Oregon. What a great way to know if the image you captured is truly successful. We will also have an area for questions and post-workshop comments.
The Workshop: What You'll Learn Our field work will be followed by lively lectures and slide demonstrations. Our lectures are casual and will cover such subjects as:
Following the workshops, participants have 2 weeks to upload 6 of their best shots from the workshop for viewing and critique.
