Having lived and worked in many different places around the United States I have come to appreciate the beauty that is unique to Wisconsin and the American Midwest. My experiences have made it easy for me to chronicle the majesty of the world around me. Capturing the wonders of light and color is the process I use to record the many magnificent things I see every day.

I began taking photographs a little more than two years ago. Self-taught, I enjoy the challenge of trying to capture and create beautiful images. I don't know true text book technique, so I take many photographs and experiment using different methods and settings. I bracket everything and write down what works and what doesn’t work. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new.

The camera I use most often is the Canon EOS 5D. It truly is an amazing camera. I also have a Canon EOS 20D, which was my first digital SLR and still gets a lot of use as my second body.
