Nature/landscape and anything else that hits my fancy. To me a photo is a frozen moment in time of an event, mood or feeling of the person who clicked the shot, memories are nice but hard to show others, a photo said it all.

I played around with camera when I was in my teens and early 20's, became a police officer in 1968 and the department I worked at had only a Polaroid camera so brought me some off the wall SLR camera and set up a dark room in the Jail, took all the police photography college classes and got my first taste of how to really take a good picture but geared for the court room. In 1981 I quit the force and moved to Yuma, AZ., my interest in photographing just did not pan out as the way I took a photo never was the way it turned out from Wal-Mart as the automatic processing alway altered the lighting in a way I did not like---then digital came along but waited until the prices came down and the magapixels went up, took two good digital classes at the local college which included Photoshop. Now I have it all, no film to process, a darkroom without all the mess. I am retired now and can really spend time on taking picture and learning from others on what makes a great photo.
