My first exposure to photography came at an early age as I tagged along with my Dad and his trusty Petri camera, which currently resides in my cedar chest. Our family was always big on taking photos to remember life's passages. After high school I acquired my first Canon SLR film camera and took many pictures of my own families adventures. Now with the advent of the computer age, I have gone digital, which I find allows me more freedom to capture images. I started my digital trek with a Canon Powershot Pro, and recently upgraded to a Canon 20 D, which I am very happy with.
My specialties are taking Motocross pictures, my husband races MX and taking pictures gives me something to do during race days. The colorful gear and flair of the riders is something that I find challenging to capture that "perfect" shot. I just started taking these pictures last November. I am a rather "shy" person and I find that "hiding" behind a lens is a comfort zone for me.
We live here in Central Arizona with a myriad of pets, Jack Russell terriers (which are in them a photographers dream) a cat, a horse and the 5 foot iguana that rules the roost.
