My interest in photography was first sparked when I visited Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe at the age of eleven. The pictures I took then were not my best work, in fact, they were pretty awful, but the old Kodak 110 cameras werenít exactly the answer to Ansel Adamsí prayers either!

Once bitten by the photography bug, I continued to take pictures whenever I could and eventually bought my first 35-millimeter SLR camera during my senior year of high school. By 1981, I had enrolled in a community college photography course, which led me to a job in the U.S. Navy. At age 19, I enlisted to become a Photographer's Mate and the Navy assigned me to maintenance and repair work on the cameras mounted on its F-14 Tomcat fighter jets. I never took a single photo for the Navy!

Undeterred, I got my first digital camera in 2001 and have never looked back. All of the photos on my website were digitally created. At present, I am using the Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT camera. I also use Adobe Photoshop and other photo-editing tools in my work.

It has long been my dream to earn a living from my photography, a dream that finally came true for me in 2003. I have enjoyed every moment spent taking the pictures you see on this site - I hope you see something in them that touches you as much as they do me.
