Your capture of the moon on its own is very interesting. Would be nice to see the image before filter. Good work! #78847

Gary W. Lake May 26, 2019

Thanks Gene. I had actually posted the original photo in last month's contest - here's a repost. #78897

Judy M. Sayers May 26, 2019

Thanks for reposting it Gene. I was curious too. So many photos, so little time. When they post the finalists in the contest I'm finding I haven't seen the half of them. Judy #78901

This is awesome Gary. I would like to see the moon come over the photo center a little, instead of being the other side of the center. Try it and see what you think. #78935

Gary W. Lake May 26, 2019

Good suggestion Toni. The original photo was edited in accordance with the "rule of thirds" but using the flood filter the effect probably would look better if it was more centered. #78959

Gary,

I just saw your member's gallery. You sure have some fantastic skills up your sleeve. Wonderful job Gary.

I was specially attracted to this "Floating Moon" ; )) It is indeed a very unique presentation. I love to do full moon shots, specially on clouded nights... but never thought that I could send the moon for a swim ; )) Will give it a shot.

Many thanks for sharing your photo experiences on this site.

Have a good day.
