On a recent trip "up north" to Tyler, TX, we discovered the Caldwell Zoo..and found a little lake full of about every kind of water fowl you could imagine...including this hooded merganser.

If this doesn't turn out to be a winner I will be surprised. We have hooded mergansers on our lake in Michigan and the males are just beautiful. You have captured the colors perfectly and getting the male with his "hood" up is important to the photo. His eye is so sharp and the golden water is fantastic. I love it! #8199211
