Joan, this looks like a painting. I have not spent much time in Arizona but you must have amazing visitas to shoot here, as well as a lot of open sky and open vistas. The thumbnail almost looks like a waterfall carving itself through the hills. Very nice. I don't have any suggestions for improvement. #1207411

Wow...look at all the colors in that earth.....sooo cool! I love how crisp everything is yet it has that painted feel. Maybe try a flip just to see what it looks like. :~) #8147685

Beautiful colors. Are the colors the resuld of the mining process? #8148658

Where they have mined does look like a copper waterfall. Really like the effect you did. Great colors. #8149018

Joan, I love the diagonal line of the copper mine and the multiple layers of tones from the hills. But I miss the details of the mine and would love to see one with the details intact.

Debbie, is right. This looks almost like a red waterfall. Very beautiful. #8149323

Thank you all! I was quite pleased at how this one worked out, as it was just a quick snap as we drove by. Because of the distance, (and the fact that I had my macro lense on the camera)I was not able to get anymore detail than this, and the highway was too busy to stop. I was amazed that the vehicles showed up at all!

I am not sure if the colours are a result of the mining operation it self. Rather think it is just a result of different types of rock etc being exposed. #8149936
