Wow, thank you everyone for such kind comments on my photo! Jill, I used photoshop and applied Gaussian blur overall to get the dreamy effect. This tree is across the road from my house, I've taken several shots of it, but I think this one is the most successful by far. Powerlines run right across the top of the tree so composing the shot was very limited. I am so glad all of you like it! #1424484

This is a perfect photo in so many ways! The painting-like effect makes it.

This is my favorite photo in Digital Darkroom today....just beautiful. I love the composition and the lovely result of the blur. Congratulations! #1476487

Yes, I agree with Jean, this is the prettiest image featured today. Love how this looks like a painting. Your composition makes it feel intimate, like it has secrets to tell. You can still feel the largeness of the tree, but I can hear little girls giggling beneath it in their own private world!! Great work!

My goodness, thank you all so much. I had to search around the site and finally found the digital darkroom..and I also subscribed :) What a surprise and honor to see my photo and so nice to read all of your wonderful comments. Dale Ann, funny you mention about the little girls under the tree, I'm hoping to do a series of shots with the tree as a scenic setting. When my house was being built I knew I was going to be taking alot of photographs of that tree. #1476754
