I know this image looks slightly skewed, but these trees were actually growing out of a steep embankment leading down to a flat area of pine trees...quite beautiful, in spite of the lover's graffiti...

Deb, as awesome as every single one of your Colorado shots is, THIS is my favorite so far. I think the carvings enhance the scene, and it's wonderful that Aimee "remembers" her youthful "trip" to this forest! (smile).

Honestly, there must have been a lot of shots here, but this one isolates everything we want to see and its color, clarity, and verticality are all contributors to this magnificent winning image! #8127245
