Hi Carolyn. I love this photo. I have been attempting to get similar tones by using photoshop desaturate. Could you tell me how you achieved the tones in this photo. I would really appreciate it. I am struggling to learn photoshop on my own as the classes are way out of my price range. I currently use CS3 and hope to upgrade when I can afford it.

Lynda,
Have you tried a local community college. I ran into the same problem and the community college near my home had continuing ed classes and photoshop was one of them. The cost was quite reasonable. #8275086

Thanks Debra, I'll look into that. When I first started in photography I took some basic classes online and liked them. It's really too bad it's so expensive to take classes in photoshop. But, I suppose since the program is so involved that's the reason.
