Park Pal
Uploaded: October 10, 2009
Meet Blue Dasher, my pal from yesterday's park escape.
He hung out with me for at least half an hour, even though I kept encouraging him to move around, hoping he would land on something that wasn't caught in the late-afternoon glare.
After hovering over my arms a few times, he landed on my built-in flash and sat there, staring up at me.
It didn't help with the picture-taking, though!

What a wonderful bg for this dragon capture. Usually they are balancing on a twig or something far less beautiful than these lovely limey leaves! #8024382Robert R. Goodman October 10, 2009

Thanks to ALL of you for those really terrific comments!I was hoping to shoot a few more today, but after wearing long pants, thick socks, three shirts, and a can of bug spray...I still couldn't fend off the mosquitoes long enough to get many images.
Oh, and Howard? Keep leaving nice comments, and I'll ask one of my dragons to fly south to Texas! #8025027
