Thank you everyone, I took a number of shots at this angle with different F-Stop settings inorder to get an optimal shot. This was at 6.7 the lower f-stops were too blurred and the higher ones had too much detail in the lower section and detracted from the beauty of the shapes and soft petals.

This shows why bracketing is a good idea. I also usually find that shooting flowers slightly underexposed brings out more detail.
